Balloon Dome Hire T&Cs

These terms apply to all hires of our Balloon Dome, whether booked as a standalone item or as an add-on to a party package.

 

Booking & Payment

  • A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your hire date.

  • The remaining 50% balance is due on the day of your event, before setup begins.

  • Balloon Dome hire is available as a standalone feature or as an add-on to a party package at a discounted rate.

 

Setup & Collection

  • The Balloon Dome must be set up by a member of the Kay Bear Events team – DIY hire is not available for this item.

  • We require flat, dry, and sheltered ground for setup (indoors or outdoors), and access to a power source (standard plug socket).

  • Setup time is approx. 30–45 minutes, and takedown is similar. Please ensure we have access to the space before and after the party.

  • The dome is typically hired for a single-day event. If you’d like extended hire, please ask – additional fees may apply.

 

Weather Considerations (Outdoor Use)

  • The Balloon Dome is weather-sensitive and cannot be set up outdoors in high winds, heavy rain, or unsafe conditions.

  • If poor weather is forecast and an indoor alternative is not available, we may need to postpone your hire. We’ll do our best to reschedule or work with you to find a solution. Your deposit will be transferred to your new date if required.

 

Usage & Safety

  • The Balloon Dome is for decorative and entertainment use only and must be treated with care.

  • Children must be supervised at all times while using the dome.

  • No sharp objects, shoes, food, drinks, or pets are allowed inside the dome.

  • The maximum number of children inside at once is 10-12, depending on age/size.

  • Kay Bear is not liable for injuries caused by misuse of the dome or unsupervised play.

 

Damages & Liability

  • Any damage caused to the Balloon Dome during the hire period (including the blower, zippers, or internal balloons) is the responsibility of the hirer and will be charged at full repair or replacement cost.

  • A breakage deposit may be required at the discretion of Kay Bear Events, particularly for outdoor or high-traffic hires. This will be discussed at the time of booking.

  • All items must be returned in their original condition at the time of collection.

 

Cancellations & Postponements

  • If you cancel your booking:

    • More than 4 weeks before the event: no further payment required, but deposit is non-refundable.

    • Less than 4 weeks before the event: 50% of the remaining balance is due.

    • Less than 14 days before the event: 100% of the remaining balance is due.

  • If you need to reschedule due to weather or personal reasons, we will do our best to accommodate your new date, subject to availability. Your deposit will be carried over to your rescheduled booking.

 

Photography & Promotion

  • We may take photos of the Balloon Dome setup for use in our portfolio or social media. If you'd prefer we don’t, just let us know in advance.
