Why Fairy Quest Is One Of Our Favourite Berry Studio Parties

If you've ever spent time with children, you'll know that imagination doesn't really need much encouragement.

Give them a cardboard box and suddenly it's a castle.

A spaceship.

A café.

A secret headquarters.

Possibly all three at once.

That's one of the reasons I love Fairy Quest Berry Studio so much.

It's creative, yes.

But it's also wonderfully imaginative.

Children arrive expecting a craft party.

What often happens is something completely different.

A fairy world starts to appear.

Tiny stories are created.

Characters are invented.

Fairy names are chosen with remarkable seriousness.

And before you know it, a room full of children are completely immersed in a magical little world they've built themselves.

One of the highlights of Fairy Quest is creating fairy houses.

No two are ever the same.

Some children create elaborate fairy mansions with lots of decorations and sparkle.

Others build cosy little woodland cottages tucked away among flowers and moss.

Every creation reflects the child who made it.

Which is exactly how it should be.

Alongside their fairy house, guests also decorate beautiful fairy lanterns and personalise a teacup keepsake.

There's something wonderfully old-fashioned about teacup decorating.

It feels thoughtful.

A little whimsical.

And surprisingly popular with children.

What I love most about these activities is that they encourage children to slow down.

There's no rush.

No competition.

No pressure to be the loudest or fastest.

Just creativity.

Conversation.

And the simple pleasure of making something with your own hands.

As parents, we often worry about keeping children entertained every second of the day.
